The 2nd Japan–China Joint Workshop on Positron Science (JWPS2013) was held on December 20–23, 2013 at Tsukuba, Japan. More than 50 researchers from Japan and China participated in the workshop in which 27 talks and 23 posters were presented.
The workshop aimed to gather together scientists working in Japan and China at the forefront of research on positron science in order to share information on the most recent progress in relevant fields. The workshop successfully provided the attendees a precious opportunity for the exchange of ideas and stimulating discussion on a wide range of subjects involving fundamental aspects of positron science, applications as well as instrumentation.
We are very grateful to the many researchers who attended the workshop and presented interesting papers. The contributions published in these conference proceedings clearly symbolize the recent rapid-progress and intensified activity in positron science in Asia.
